Family Promise of Lee County
What is Family Promise?
Family Promise of Lee County (FPLC) is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to homeless families in Lee County. It is successful primarily because local congregations work together as partners and provide an outreach ministry focusing on the needs of homeless families in our community.
These needs include helping homeless families transform their lives by providing emergency shelter and family stability services, assisting with finding employment, teaching life-skills through which families can quickly obtain and sustain stable housing. We keep all types of families together during the crisis of homelessness and provide individualized blends of services during and after their Family Promise stay to help them achieve long-term family stability.
How Can Jonesboro Presbyterian Church Help?
On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, we will bring a small group of 4-6 people to Family Promise at 2302 Woodland Avenue (just up the street from the church). Our arrival time will be 5:00 pm and we will bring with us a wonderful meal to serve and an activity or two to share with the children residing there. If you would like to join us for this opportunity, please contact Steve Brummett to volunteer.
