Lifetime Membership – Judy Davis – 7/15/2020

Judy Davis, this year's Honorary Life Membership recipient, was born in Henderson, NC.  She graduated from Sanford Business College where she later worked as Secretary/Placement Director and IBM Keypunch Instructor.

In 1959, Judy began her 60-year marriage to her husband, Bobby.  Bobby's death last November was difficult but Judy's loving family of two sons, six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren have helped one another cope during the grieving process.

Judy has also worked as a secretary at Roberts Company, Jones-Lee Furniture, Mid-South Bank, Atlantic Bankcard Association.  Twenty-four years ago, we were blessed to have Judy accept a position as Administrative Assistant for JPC.  Judy has done many other things to support Jonesboro Presbyterian Church.  She has trained our acolytes, cooked many Wonderful Wednesday meals, chaired our annual rummage sale, served lunch to the Lee County Presbyterian Ministers, helped with our church directory, made sure our kitchen was supplied, volunteered in our nursery, served as a wedding liaison, and served on the Worship Committee.  At the Presbytery level, she was on the Worship and Evangelism Committee, the Nominating Committee, and the Sessional Records Committee (where she also served as chairperson) for many years.
